Douglas B. Miron was born in Newport, R.I. near the end of 1940. From 1950-57 he attended the Oak Hill School for the Blind in Hartford, CT. He received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in EE from Yale in '62 and '63. He received the Ph.D. in EE/Control and Communications from U. Conn. in '77. He worked in industry from '63 through '67, '70 through '79 and '97. He taught at South Dakota State U. from '79 through '96, and has been consulting since '98. He has worked, taught, and published in nearly every major area of electrical engineering. His current interests are in small antennas and rf circuits.
