I love sailing, books, travel, and adventure! So, I think I have the greatest job in the world - I get to write stories full time.
My husband and I have sailed our boats across the Pacific, Atlantic, Mediterranean, and the Caribbean, and we have traveled thousands of miles in our converted ambulance/RV. It can be a challenge to write on the road, but it's the life that suits me. Nothing like bartering in the Medina in Tangier or watching whales from a beach in Baja California to spark the imagination.
My most recent book is WHISKEY CREEK, a World War II novel that tells the story of one young woman who becomes the captain of her family's boat and patrols for U-boats off the coast of Florida.
I don’t know if I’ll ever be certain whether it’s my adventures that shape the tale or the tale that shapes me. But I do know this: I’m going to keep on living these adventures (with our two Havapoo pups Razz and Zoë) and writing the stories that come out of it all.
Fair winds!
