Tom Basinski

After studying to be a Catholic priest for five years Tom Basinski traded in his Roman Collar for a badge and gun to patrol the streets of Flint, Michigan. He moved to Chula Vista, CA where he was a police officer for 17 years before becoming an investigator for the San Diego DA's Office for 17 more. Tom wrote over 125 true crime stories for the pulp magazines such as True Detective and others of that ilk. He then wrote two true crime books involving San Diego homicides, NO GOOD DEED, and CROSS-COUNTRY EVIL. He is a columnist for the Chula Vista Star News. THE STALK BROKER, featuring Flint, Michigan Homicide Detective Ed Ryback, is his first novel. His second novel, DEATH RATTLE, continues the saga of Ed Ryback as the Flint cop tries to stay out of trouble and solve homicides at the same time.
