Richard B. Sher

Richard B. Sher is Distinguished Professor of History Emeritus in the Federated History Department of New Jersey Institute of Technology and Rutgers University, Newark. He has published widely on the Scottish Enlightenment, the history of books and print culture in the eighteenth century, and James Boswell. He is a Corresponding Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and has been a Guggenheim and NEH Fellow and an invited speaker at major universities and conferences in the USA, Canada, Ireland, and the UK.
