I am a writer and also a breeder and rider of Lipizzan horses--and I write what I know. I live in Arizona on a mesa surrounded by mountains (and overlooked by a Mountain). My farm is home to a fluctuating population of magical grey horses; we have Lipizzan Weekends and Horse Camp for Writers (see http://capriole.smoe.org), which the horses regard as opportunities to be worshipped and adored.
