Brian Ward

Brian Ward is Professor in American Studies at Northumbria University.

He has published 10 books on various aspects of US history and popular music, most recently A&R Pioneers: Architects of American Roots Music on Record (with Patrick Huber, 2018) which won the 2018 Best Book on Country Music Award from Belmont University, and Martin Luther King in Newcastle upon Tyne: The African American Freedom Struggle and Race Relations in the North East of England (2017)
