Lex Runciman is the author of six books of poems, most recently Salt Moons: Poems 1981-2016, published by Salmon Poetry. Winner of the Silcox Prize and the Kenneth O. Hanson Award, his work has appeared in Ploughshares, The Gettysburg Review, Nimrod, Stand (UK), Poetry Ireland, Southern Review, Valparaiso Poetry Review, and elsewhere. A chapter discussing his work is included in Erik Muller's critical book, Durable Goods (Mountains & Rivers Press). For 25 years he taught at Linfield College, where he twice won the Edith Green Distinguished Professor award as well as the Olds/Hellie Award for Creative Achievement. He lives in Portland, Oregon. He and his wife, Deborah Berry Runciman, have been married more than 45 years.
