Eric Zolov

My writing focuses on the interplay between culture, politics, and international relations in twentieth-century Latin America, with an emphasis on the Cold War period. My book, The Last Good Neighbor: Mexico in the Global Sixties (Duke) was the 2021 recipient of the María Elena Martínez Prize for "most significant work on the history of Mexico." My forthcoming book, The Walls of Santiago: Social Revolution and Political Aesthetics in Contemporary Chile (Berghahn Books), is co-authored with my wife, Terri Gordon-Zolov (The New School) and derives from our personal experience living in Chile during the social uprising there in 2019-20.
