Gwen Doty

When Gwen Doty isn't playing with alpacas on her Arizona farm, she works as a university professor and educational consultant. She enjoys sharing her expertise on a variety of research-based learning and instructional practices. For 10 years, she worked with Learning Bridges, an organization dedicated to “improving academic achievement through research-based instruction aligned to state standards and assessments.” Her work included consulting and training on a national scale, creating an online instructional database, and developing numerous accredited graduate courses. Gwen’s experience as a teacher and professional development specialist affords her knowledge that is both practical and cutting edge.

A 25-year veteran in the field of education, Gwen has been a teacher, principal, director of online learning, and an educational consultant. Throughout her career, she has been involved with curriculum development, assessment, and effective instructional practices. She has conducted a variety of educational seminars and workshops throughout the United States with the goal of “inspiring teachers to increase student academic proficiency through the use of best teaching practices and positive interactions with students.”

Gwen earned her Master of Arts in oral communication from Prescott College. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in education with a minor in speech communication from Arizona State University.
