Tom Gosselin

Tom Gosselin brings over 35 years of international experience as a consultant in developing leaders who drive organizational performance. Tom’s previous book Practical Negotiating: Tools, Tactics, and Techniques has been hailed as “a thoughtful, engaging, and practical guide on a topic of increasing importance to leaders and organizations.”

Dam It! Negotiating at the River's Edge is a simple fable about two beavers in conflict about building a dam. By exploring and listening to each other's needs, they finally arrive at an optimal agreement.

In addition to his books, Tom designs and delivers negotiation skills workshops. As a negotiation consultant, Tom has worked with clients in several major negotiations. For example, he has helped negotiation teams in both Scripps Networks, and MTV Networks to achieve better results and develop stronger partnerships with major service operators (i.e. Verizon, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, DiSH etc.)

He has served as an executive coach at all levels of organizations, from CEO to star individual contributors. Tom has served clients in: financial services, consulting and professional services, executive search, insurance, media, manufacturing, travel services, pharmaceutical and medical products, and consumer products.

Tom received a BA from St. John’s in Philosophy and Psychology, and an MSW from Catholic University. He also studied Organizational Behavior at George Washington University and at Boston College. Tom has been a guest lecturer on power and influence in organizations at The Harvard Business School. He is also a trained mediator.
