Delia Touchton Halverson

I grew up as a preacher's kid in Florida and south Georgia, graduating from high school in Key West. I attended Florida Southern College and then was graduated from Scarritt College for Christian Workers in Nashville. My husband, Sam, was a ranger for the U.S. Forest Service. Between my dad's, my husband's and my careers I moved 21 times. Now we live in Woodstock, GA, and enjoy being near our children and grandchildren.

Most of my adult life has been on staff in Christian Education. I had 26 non-fiction books published and wrote many curriculum units, as well as numerous magazine and newspaper articles and columns in several cities where I lived.

Now my hand has turned to fiction. A TOKEN OF LOVE is my first novel. Set in a fictitious town of 92 people in northwestern North Dakota, I introduce you to the simple and unique life of a small town with gravel roads and old crank/party-line telephones. The main characters have secrets they hold, and you must read the book to find out whether they reveal them to each other. Although the novel is fiction, It reveals unique situations in the community. Woven through it are religious concepts as well as information and history of the Dakotas where I lived for 13 years.

I invite you to purchase the book and leave a review when you finish.
