Sheilla Jones

Sheilla Jones has long been driven to tackle frustratingly complex issues—whether it is quantum physics or Indigenous politics in Canada—to make them accessible to the public. Sheilla is the author of "Let the People Speak: Oppression in a Time of Reconciliation" (ISBN 9781927922569, J. Gordon Shillingford Publishing, 2019) and her well-received book, “The Quantum Ten: A story of passion, tragedy, ambition and science” (ISBN 978-0-19-536909-0, Oxford University Press, 2008) was translated into Arabic in 2018 for the Egypt, Iraq and Libya markets (ISBN 978-977-281-596-8). She co-authored "Bankrupting Physics: How today’s top scientists are gambling away their credibility" (ISBN 978-1-137-27823-4, Palgrave Macmillan, 2013) with German physicist Alexander Unzicker, and it is now available in paperback (ISBN 9798509622274).

Sheilla honed her skills in investigative journalism as an award-winning journalist and as a news editor and senior researcher for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She has written extensively on First Nations issues in Canada, served as a public policy Senior Fellow, and is co-chair of an Indigenous and non-Indigenous grassroots team working towards reconciliation.
