Edna Sheedy

I live and write on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. With the ocean and a beautiful city harbour just steps from my door, I consider myself one very lucky writer. But I have to say that my real luck is being married to Tim, my first and final husband.

I am the polar opposite of the revered Domestic Goddess. I enjoy solitude and all things book-related, tolerate some required physical activity for my health's sake and have, over time, come to the conclusion that life is not a bowl of cherries; it's more a mix of hocus pocus, good and bad surprises, and unexpected rainfall. All of which is completely beyond my control. I'm not sure I trust the Universe's running of things, but I respect it. I do trust in the power of a good book. Books have been my companions, friends, and teachers all of my life. They've introduced me to amazing characters, fed my curious mind, and taken me away on grand vacations. Books are "my precious."

I write both contemporary romance and romantic suspense, the latter because sometimes a nasty and conniving villain pops into my head and I just have to get him out.

I mess with Facebook occasionally: bits about my books and occasional thoughts on life when it gets particularly confusing. I also noodle around on Twitter, never quite knowing why.

I have a Website with most of my books listed, although Amazon does a much better job of staying current with that information than I do.
