Tammy Zitello, CEO NSM Services, Inc.

I have 17 years of Enterprise Monitoring with HP OpenView (OMu). My experience includes instructing HP-UX, Network Node Manager, and HP OpenView Operations. During this time, I was frequently asked by my students if I could recommend a book that provided the level of detail that I gave during class. This inspired me to write the book.

My experience also includes tech lead for monitoring at Hewlett-Packard, design and deployment of large scale monitoring environments including a nickel mining company based in Brasil. I was trained in Boblingen, Germany by Hewlett-Packard with new releases of the software.

My most recent experince has been at Macys Systems & Technology as and Enterprise Monitoring analyst where I carried over my experince from the technology sector to retail. One of the cool things I was able to do at Macy's - outside of the work - was to volunteer as a baloon handler at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, 2010. I was right in front of snoopy!

I was mentored by one of the most knowlegeable people on OpenView Operations, Dev Norwood (1949-2011) who more than answered every question I ever had.

When I'm not working, I'm either swimming or diving. My best race is 2.5 mile open water swim. I usually win.
