Michael G. Moore

I am 74 years old.

I wrote the screenplay, "The Orb," in 1980. I changed it into a book in 1982, put a new cover on it, and changed the title to "The Unicorn Riders of the Orb." The story remained exactly the same. So, "The Orb" book, and "The Unicorn Riders of the Orb" book, are one and the same, just with different covers. I tell you this because used versions of the book are both being sold, and I don't want you to buy both versions with different covers, thinking they are different stories.

The actors, Richard Kiel and Robert Logan, both said they wanted to be in the movie version. My writers guild agent sent it to a very, very successful producer, but he told him he only read screenplays from agents that he knew personally. And many said they only do films they write themselves. It's a very closed shop. It is difficult to get anything read. And back then, before the digital era and green screens, the movies were massively expensive to make.

So I turned the screenplay into a book in 1982, and then into an ebook with Amazon in October of this year, 2022. My grandson, Erik Moody, helped me convert it into an ebook.

I have placed the book and ebook in many school districts in Minnesota. The teachers read the story and approved it for their students to read. It has no swearing or sex in it. And it has a very positive and reassuring theme. It also contains riddles and clues the reader must try to solve.

I am continuing to place the ebook in other school districts in other states too.

I am confident that you, as a reader, will enjoy the story. That's why I have never given up on it.
