June K. Robinson

Dr. Robinson is the lead editor of the definitive textbook, Surgery of the Skin: Procedural Dermatology, which was first published in 2005 with a DVD of the procedure. The second edition with an expanded DVD and new chapters became available in 2010. (Robinson JK, Hanke CW, Siegel DM, Fratila A. Elsevier). She is the author of over 240 peer-reviewed publications, and numerous textbook chapters. She served as the Secretary Treasurer of the American Academy of Dermatology (1998- 2001), and was the past President of the American Cancer Society, Illinois Division (1996- 1998), the Women's Dermatological Society (1990-1992), and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (1994-1995).

In 2002, she was honored by receiving the Women's Dermatologic Society Wilma Bergfeld, MD Visionary and Leadership Award. In 2004, she received the St. George Medal, the American Cancer Society National Service Award. The Samuel J. Stegman Award for Distinguished Service, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery was presented to her in November 2006. In 2008, her work was recognized by the American College of Mohs Surgery with the Frederic E. Mohs Award for Career Achievement.

She continues her research with medical students and young physicians, who keep her "forever young".
