Pascal Willain

Belgian Software engineer Pascal Willain holds a master’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Electro-Communications in Tokyo. A serial entrepreneur from 1987 through 2007, Pascal has been involved in the markets for over twenty years and has shared his daily market comments on www.effectivevolume.com since 2010.

Beginning in 2000, Pascal worked on new technical analysis tools to better guide his private investments. The instruments he developed were so groundbreaking that they were featured in Dr Alexander Elder's book "Entries & Exits: Visits to Sixteen Trading Rooms" (Wiley, 2006).

Pascal published his findings in "Value in Time: Better Trading through Effective Volume” (Wiley 2008). This book features Pascal’s five state-of-the-art technical analysis tools for stock market investing:

Pascal Willain was born in 1959, and married his life-partner Michiko in 1991. Together they have adopted two wonderful children: an 18 year old special needs boy and a 17 year old daughter.
