Jack M. Beermann

Jack Beermann is Professor of Law at Boston University where he specializes in civil rights litigation and administrative law. He is especially interested in the civil rights laws that came out of the Reconstruction era and is currently writing a work of historical fiction exploring what might have happened if the Supreme Court had welcomed Congress's civil rights laws rather than defeated them. Jack grew up in the Chicago area where he was a food and beer vendor at Wrigley Field and Comiskey Park. He studied at University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Chicago Law School and is a fan of 1970s progressive rock music.
