Nagraj Balakrishnan

Raju Balakrishnan is the lead author of the textbook Managerial Decision Modeling: Business Analytics with Spreadsheets. Fourth Edition, ISBN 9781501515101 (with de Gruyter). Previous editions of the textbook (with Pearson) were published in 2003, 2007, and 2013.

Dr. Balakrishnan serves as Professor of Management and Dean of the College of Business at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Prior to starting this role in February 2013, he was Senior Associate Dean in the College of Business and Behavioral Science at Clemson University, where he served on the faculty and administration for nearly 19 years. He has also served on the faculty at Tulane University and has taught in the Executive MBA program at Tulane and the University of Georgia.

Dr. Balakrishnan has been recognized multiple times for teaching excellence at both Clemson and Tulane, and has received several research awards including best paper awards from the Decision Sciences Institute and the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
