David Elliott

David Elliott is the award-winning author of over thirty-five books for young people, including the NYT bestselling, And Here's to You!. He is also the author of three critically acclaimed YA novels in verse: Bull; Voices the Final Hours of Joan of Arc; and The Seventh Raven. About the ten books in the Candlewick poetry series (On the Farm, In the Wild, et al), Betsy Bird has written, “His is the BEST kind of poetry for kids unfamiliar with the form, honestly.” BONEBAG, a middle grade novel he cowrote with his son, Eli, will be released by Astra House on May,26, 2026. Born in Ohio, David has worked as a singer in Mexico, a cucumber washer in Greece, and a popsicle stick maker in Israel. Currently, he lives and writes in New Hampshire.
