Eric Rasmussen is Regents Teaching Professor and Foundation Professor of English Emeritus at the University of Nevada. He is coeditor of the bestselling Royal Shakespeare Company's Complete Works of William Shakespeare (with Sir Jonathan Bate, Bloomsbury and Random House, 2nd edition, 2022), The Royal Shakespeare Company's Collaborative Plays by William Shakespeare and Others (Palgrave, 2013), and The Shakespeare First Folios: A Descriptive Catalogue (Palgrave, 2012) – each of which received the Falstaff Award for Best Shakespearean Publication of the Year.
Rasmussen is author of The Shakespeare Thefts: In Search of the First Folios (Palgrave, 2011), which was serialized by Australia’s national newspaper The Age and translated into Japanese and Portuguese. He is coauthor of Studying Shakespeare’s Contemporaries (with Lars Engle, Wiley-Blackwell, 2014) and a contributing editor to The Norton Anthology of English Renaissance Drama, The Stanford Global Shakespeare Encyclopedia, The Oxford Companion to Shakespeare, The Arden Shakespeare, Oxford's World's Classics, The Revels Plays, Arden Early Modern Drama, The Malone Society Plays, and The Cambridge Edition of the Works of Ben Jonson.
He is author of thirty-four peer-reviewed articles and has presented over one hundred keynote and plenary addresses. Rasmussen is a General Editor of the New Variorum Shakespeare and serves on seventeen editorial and advisory boards including the Board of Trustees of the Shakespeare Association of America.
