Kevin Beaver, CISSP, is an independent information security consultant, keynote speaker, and writer with nearly four decades in IT with most of that focused on security. He founded his Atlanta-based security consulting company Principle Logic, LLC in 2001. Kevin has written or co-written 12 books, including the best-selling Hacking For Dummies (8th edition, translated into 9 languages), and published 1,400+ security articles for outlets such as TechTarget, IBM, Rapid7, and Ziff Davis. He has served as a presenter and panelist at hundreds of events for groups such as TechTarget, Gartner, RSA, ISACA, Evanta, ALAS, EC-Council, and TribalNet. Kevin's expertise has been featured on CNN and in the Wall Street Journal. He is also a longtime faculty member with IANS, advising leading global enterprises on practical risk management. Kevin holds technical and business degrees from Southern College of Technology and Georgia Tech, respectively.
