David V. Hicks

David V. Hicks graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton and read philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE) at Oxford as a Rhodes scholar. After serving in the Navy where he taught strategy at the Naval War College, he headed independent schools in Mississippi, Texas, New Hampshire, Georgia, and Florida, and acted as Chief Academic Officer for the Meritas Family of Schools until its sale to Nord Anglia. He now writes and translates ancient Greek classics with his brother Scot. He and his wife on a ranch in Montana that is in a Life Estate for St. Peter's Orthodox Monastery. They help to run a popular summer work camp for young people at the monastery and are members of St. Anthony the Great Orthodox Church in Bozeman.
