Hedwig Lewis (1945- ) was born in Bombay [Mumbai-India] to parents who had migrated from the then Portuguese Colony of Goa. He joined the Society of Jesus in the Gujarat Province in 1964, was ordained a priest in 1977, after which he has been involved in education in the Jesuit-run St Xavier’s College in Ahmedabad. He has served as lecturer and Principal. He received the “Rev T. A. Mathias Award for Innovative College Teachers” from the All India Association for Christian Higher Education (AIACHE), New Delhi, in 1993.
In 1995, he was struck by Meige’s Syndrome which resulted in the involuntary movements of his upper body. He resigned from College and became a full-time writer.
Lewis is the author of 30 books on professional, psychological, spiritual and biographical subjects. His works include bestsellers: “Body Language: A Guide for Professionals”, “Persons Are Gifts”, “At Home With God”, “Zero to Hero”.
His books are on wide-ranging subjects and come under several categories:
