Mohammad Ishaq Khan

Mohammad Ishaq Khan (1946- ) was born in Srinagar, Kashmir. Formerly Professor of History at Kashmir University, his books on Kashmir with special reference to the impact of Sufism on Kashmiri society and culture as well as the impact of Western education on the modernisation of Srinagar have received critical recognition in academic journals of international repute. He is presently writing his memoirs vis-a-vis the political developments in Kashmir since 1946.
