Franz Wegener

Franz Wegener (born in 1965 in Gladbeck / Germany) studied history at the Ruhr-University of Bochum (Prof. Hans Mommsen, Prof. Lucian Hölscher, Prof. Ferdinand Seibt) obtaining the M.A. degree. He specialized in the history of ideas, investigating gnostic and hermetic influences on political movements. He wrote six books on the history of nazism as a political religion. Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke ("The Occult Roots of Nazism") wrote in a Mail to Wegener: "Yes, I have enjoyed reading your books and naturally consider them a most worthwhile contribution to our hitherto neglected field where esotericism and political ideology meet." (2006)
