N. B. Karavanova

Karavanova Natalya Borisovna is a well-known Russian philologist, lingvist, teacher, author of the effective methods of teaching foreign languages, one of the leading authors in the field of educational literature on Russian as a foreign language and English for Russian-speaking students.

She graduated with honors from the philological faculty of Moscow State University (MSU) named after M. V. Lomonosov. Immediately after graduation she taught Russian to foreigners of different nationalities from all over the world and English to Russian speakers students for many years. Her experience of working as a teacher for over 30 years.

On the basis of extensive practical experience and a scientific-methodological research she has developed her own methodology of teaching languages, which meets the needs of modern society, which imposes new requirements for the study and knowledge of foreign languages. Based on it, were written a whole series of textbooks on Russian as a foreign language, in particular, known around the world a complex of textbooks "Survival Russian – Govorite pravilno!" and the textbook “Matryoshka. The elementary practical course of the Russian language” and in English for Russian-speaking students: series "English for Russians", "English, which is always with you!", "Understandable and close English. The proven effective methodology" (in total – more than 30 textbooks).

They enjoy great popularity and well-deserved reputation with teachers and students, because thanks to the author's methods they give quick and lasting results.

Natalya Karavanova is also an author of books in other fields of knowledge: "Frantsuzhenka. Sekrety krasoty i stilya" and "Bon appetit. Udivitelnyy mir frantsuzskoy kuhni".
