About the Author
Byron spent over 35 years in the technology field. He worked in both the private and government sectors providing technology discovery, design, implementation, exploitation, and consultation.
Since October of 2011 Byron Spinney has been the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hope Restored, a non-profit evangelical Christian disaster relief ministry. In this position he is responsible for daily operations, volunteer management, client management, interface to government agencies (city, county, state), and management of workdays. Byron also volunteers with Samaritan's Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org) for large disasters as part of their Site Leadership Team.
Byron has written, and teaches, a series of courses of how to respond to fire, flood, hurricane, and tornado. He also has developed and teaches a class called "Responding to People in Crisis".
Hope Restored sends out volunteers to work with large disaster relief organizations in response to major disasters and works within its local community on projects that include fire mitigation, yard clean up, and minor home repairs in Colorado Springs, CO. Hope Restored also trains churches in developing localized service and disaster relief ministries.
