Anthony Thomson

Anthony Thomson was born in the Hydrostone District of Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1949. He moved "overseas" (across the harbour) to Shearwater and then to Lawrencetown Beach on the Eastern Shore where his parents converted their cottage into a permanent home. A student of Graham Creighton High, Dalhousie University, and the University of Cambridge, he oppressed students in Windsor, Nfld. and then for 34 more years at Acadia University, trying to teach social theory. He is married to the teacher, journalist, photographer and poet Heather Frenette. They have two children and a cat named Jack.
