C. Carl Pegels

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

C. Carl Pegels was as a Professor in Management Science and Systems at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, for 39 years prior to his retirement in 2005. He is currently Professor Emeritus at the University.

During his academic career he wrote 18 academic books some of which are still available on Amazon.com. Areas covered were management and strategy of operations in both the private and public sectors.

He is married to Patricia Pegels, a retired Occupational Therapy Professor and Therapist. He has two children and five grandchildren, the two oldest are college graduates.

In his younger years he was an active runner competing in hundreds of races including 250 marathons with at least one in every state of the Union. He is still a daily jogger.

Following his retirement he began writing non-fiction books covering several areas. His main area of interest was on PROMINENT DUTCH AMERICANS, which resulted in several publications.

As an extension of his academic research on Extreme Events he has published an E-book entitled, WE LIVE ON A DANGEROUS PLANET--PREPARE FOR SURVIVAL NOW, 2012.

He has also published two E-books related to his ancestor experiences. They are,

GENEALOGY AND HISTORY OF THE DUTCH PEGELS CLAN, 2013, and

THE FRENCH REVOLUTION, NAPOLEON AND THE RUSSIAN WAR OF 1812, 2015.

He has also written on religious topics and published three E-books entitled:

SECULAR CHRISTIANS--THE NEW MAJORITY, 2012

THE ESSENCE AND POETIC BEAUTY OF THE PSALMS, 2012 and

JESUS: A COMPLEX AND TROUBLED MAN, 2013.

His main work has been on PROMINENT DUTCH AMERICANS in which he has completed six books, one a hard copy book and the remaining ones are E-books and published on Amazon Kindle. The titles of the books follow below.
