Karol K. Weaver

Karol K. Weaver is Associate Professor of History at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. She earned her PhD at The Pennsylvania State University.

Professor Weaver offers courses on American history, women's history and the history of medicine. Her research interest focuses on the history of healers. Her book, Medical Revolutionaries: The Enslaved Healers of Eighteenth-Century Saint Domingue, was published by the University of Illinois Press in 2006. Her second book, Medical Caregiving and Identity in Pennsylvania Anthracite Region, 1880-2000, was published in August 2011.

Weaver also serves as the coordinator of the Women's Studies Program and co-coordinator of the Medical Humanities Initiative at Susquehanna University.
