Your purchase here can help a military family. My income from the sales of my books or ebooks goes to the Fisher House Foundation. The Fisher House Foundation builds comfort homes where military and veterans families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical centers around the world.

The Broad Brush about me--

I have lived a large part of my life backwards. That is, I worked for 20 years, then went to college. To complete the picture, after college I worked again and in due time retired.

A Few Details--

Born: Chicago, Illinois, November 22, 1932.

Education: Hiram Belding Elementary School, Carl Schurz High School--both in Chicago; California State University, Sacramento, master's degree in English.

Military service: United States Air Force, 20 years; aircraft instrument mechanic, navigator; highest rank held, major.

Principal civilian occupation, writer and editor.

Marital status: married, 4 children, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, with another great-grandchild expected this summer (2019).

If you have read this far and correctly done the math, you will have added up that I am well into my eighties. I lurch and wobble a little when I walk, and I use a cane, but I seem to be doing okay otherwise.
