The updated 2nd Edition was published July 28, 2023.

During an extended visit to Germany in 2012, conversations with older families and friends often drifted to shared experiences and memories of a childhood largely impacted by World War II. Captivated by these stories, Sieglinde, upon returning to Ohio, interviewed friends who experienced the war from countries throughout Europe. The resulting seventeen true stories that compromise 'Small Feet On The Run', are by turns, harrowing and uplifting. The author, in addition to the first person narrations, has included two chapters that argue against war.
