Stephen J. Carroll

Stephen J Carroll was born in Boston in 1930.He served in the US Navy for 6 years.He earned a BS degree from UCLA and a MA and PhD from the University of Minnesota.He was a professor at the University of Maryland betweeen 1964 and 1998. He is the author or co-author of 14 books, two monographs, and three book revisions.He has published more than 100 scholarly papers.He is an elected Fellow in several scientific organizations and received the 2010 Heneman Prize for lifetime scholarly achievement. He has been a consultant to more than 30 organizations and a visiting scholar in Japan, China, Australia,Italy, Poland. Ireland, and Taiwan.
