William Irvine

William Irvine is the author of Madam I'm Adam and If I Had a Hi-Fi. An avid logophile, he has contributed articles on language, social history, architecture, and design to The New York Times, Harper's, Gentleman's Quarterly, Gourmet, Punch, and House Beautiful, where he is a writer and editor. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
