Sam George Arcus

Born Oct. 1921.At age 7 placed in orphanage following mother's death and lived there 12 years. BSS degree from CCNY and MSW from Columbia. Married Adele Rosenthal January 1946. Married 58 years; Social work career including Dir. of Jewish Community Centers; retired September 2006 from Pima Council on Aging in Tucson, AZ. Author of Handbook for Vols in Nursing Homes and five books; listed in "Who's Who in America" since 2004. Son,Norman, daughter, Shelly and 4 grandchildren,Sara,Megan,Peter & Amy.
