Hello readers,
I'm a writer, singer and songwriter living in Los Angeles with my husband, Steve Kaplan. I grew up in New York City and spent the first third (?) half (?) of my life there.
My first novel, Wild Again, is set in New York in the late 1980's, and is a dark suspense/love story. The second, We Were Stardust, dips back into the 1960's, opening in the Greenwich Village music scene and following four young characters as their story arcs take them through the highs, lows and perils of the music business, from New York to Los Angeles.
My new novel, Bowl of Night, is a suspense/noir with a theme of obsessive love that spans London, Paris and Iran in the early 1970's.
Over my lifetime, I've been been, in no particular order: actor, receptionist, dog walker, singer, cotton-factory material folder, autodidact, go-go dancer, story analyst, songwriter, manic depressive, switchboard operator, cat rescuer, journalist, horse rider, wife, trypophobe, cancer survivor, feeder of neonatal kittens, and writer of books.
I still perform from time to time in the L.A. area, and have made two CD's. Check out my website - www.KathrinKingSegal.com - read my books and enjoy.
Musically,
Kathrin
