Peter C. Cavelti

Peter Cavelti was born and educated in Switzerland, but emigrated to Canada in the early 1970s. His work has been distributed in the United States, Canada, Australia and Japan. He is the author of ten books and hundreds of internationally published papers. His earliest writing focused mainly on his travels, as he backpacked through Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Later, he wrote two best-selling books about gold and geopolitics, topics he was very familiar with from his career as a financial executive. In 1997 his widely acclaimed cultural study of the South Seas, Tuiavii's Way, was released. It was followed by fiction, short-stories, a memoir and a guide to informed charitable giving.

His latest novel, The Sweet Spot, has just been published. As one review sums it up, “An epic psychological roller-coaster, exploring the mysteries of relationships, the possibilities of love and the role of trauma in isolating us from the truth of ourselves.” Peter loves the outdoors, adventure travel and family life. You can follow him and his widely-read Strategic Updates online.
