Mike Millard

Mike Millard, a journalist with roots in the Pacific Northwest has written and edited for newspapers, magazines, wire agencies and websites, worked in Asia for more than two decades and traveled widely in Europe. In his early years he worked as a logger, an oilfield roughneck, a farmhand, a miner and a janitor in a Las Vegas church with beautiful stained-glass windows. While living in Japan and Singapore, he immersed himself in their cultures and their burgeoning economies, wrote two books and met his wife, Miwa, while working for a Tokyo newspaper. For several years they lived in the Seattle area where their son, Emerson, completed a computer science degree. They now reside on the Greek island of Corfu, where legends say that Odysseus made landfall after his adventures on the way home from Troy.
