Gina L. Hamilton

Gina Hamilton is a science and education writer, specializing in middle and high school supplemental texts in biology, physics, and earth and space science. In this genre, she has approximately 40 titles, some of which are available through Amazon.

She has published a children's novel entitled 'Day of the Wave', about the experiences of a young girl after the tsunami in Sumatra, and has published two adult mystery novels, 'Tenure Track' featuring astronomer Genevieve Harper and 'Deadly Quarrel', a historical novel set in 14th century Devon and Cornwall. She is at work on two others, one of which is the second in the Deadly Quarrel/Sister Clare of Dartmoor series. All of these are available in paperback and on Kindle on Amazon.

She was educated at the University of Chicago and Columbia.

Hamilton has been married since 1983, and has a young adult son. She and her husband are also foster parents for troubled teens. They have two beloved Springer spaniels, a parrot, two cats, and half a dozen chickens on their urban farm in Bath Maine, in an older house that is slowly becoming a green energy demonstration site.

Hamilton is the editorial page editor of the Brunswick Times Record, a daily paper, and is the editor of New Maine Times, a weekly newspaper in midcoast Maine. She is also a freelance science content contributor for many publishers.
