Walter R. Jacobs

Walt Jacobs is an Associate Professor and a Special Projects Coordinator (Office of Undergraduate Education) at the University of Minnesota. From 2007-2012 he was Chair of the U of M's Department of African American & African Studies. Before becoming a sociology professor he was an electrical engineer. Born and raised in the American South, Walt loves Minneapolis, Minnesota, but would also enjoy living in Tokyo or Amsterdam.
