Kathryn E. Livingston

Kathryn E. Livingston is the author of the memoir Yin, Yang, Yogini: A Woman's Quest for Balance, Strength and Inner Peace (Open Road Media) and a co-author of Too Many Mothers, a novel written in collaboration with Maureen Jeffries, Abigail Gary and Kimberley Mendelsohn, members of a 20-plus-year friendship and writing group. Kathryn has worked as a newspaper reporter, a magazine writer and editor, and a yoga teacher. Her articles have appeared in Parenting (she was among the magazine's first columnists), Publishers Weekly, American Photographer, Edutopia, Country Living, Redbook, Working Mother, and other magazines. She is the coauthor of two parenting books with Robert Frank, PhD: Parenting Partners (St. Martin's) and The Secret Life of the Dyslexic Child (Rodale). Livingston is also the author of a number of photography books, including Special Effects Photography and Fashion Photography: Patrick Demarchelier. She and her husband live in Bergen County, NJ, and are the parents of three grown sons.
