Emma Sutton (1969 - now) was born in Cheshire, the eldest of a set of twins who were the youngest in a family of six. She grew up in the midlands and on the south coast of the UK before travelling to Yorkshire for University, where she studied Chemical Engineering, eventually earning a doctorate. She left engineering to start her own business in 2002. In 2013, after a battle with infertility, she adopted two children and in 2017 published her first novel "And Then There Were Four" which has been called "an essential read" for all adopters. She continues to write and is currently penning her second novel.
