Jennifer Vandever was born in Portland, Oregon, studied Theatre at the University of Washington and received an MFA in Film from Columbia University.
Her first novel THE BRONTE PROJECT was published by Random House in the US, Simon & Schuster in the UK and is available in Spanish, Polish and Italian editions. A new Anniversary edition is also now available from Melograno Press (2015).
Her next novel, AMERICAN TANGO will be published in 2016.
Vandever's work has appeared in The New York Times, The Village Voice, First City and Redbook.
She is the co-screenwriter and associate producer of the feature film JUST ONE TIME, a gender-bending sex farce which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. She also won first place in the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards Competition for comedy.
She is an adjunct professor teaching Screenwriting, Screwball & Romantic Comedy, and Women In Film for Emerson College's Los Angeles program. She divides her time between Portland and Los Angeles where she lives with her husband Mike Brosnan.
