Hans G. Daellenbach

Originally from Switzerland, I taught management science for over 40 years in US and New Zealand universities. A few years before retirement, I began writing adventure novels as a hobby under the pseudonym of GIAN BORDIN, the name of an Italian uncle who perished in WWII.

It is fascinating and fun to see how my characters take on a life of their own, doing, expressing, or experiencing things that were not in the original plan of the story. It has happened more than once that the hero was supposed to say one thing and that, once I had finished the sentence, I discovered that he/she had said something different, only to find out many pages later that it was crucial he/she had said exactly that.

I write for my own enjoyment, rather than for getting into print. I love doing the historical, sociological, or technical research relevant for the topic, and thereby learn new things, enlarging my own knowledge about various subjects. And last, but not least, I have a small, but faithful following of family and friends who enjoy reading my stories.
