Dan Blackburn

I am a broadcast and print journalist. I have worked for CBS, NBC, Metromedia News (Washington Bureau Chief) and CNN covering the White House, Congress and many other stories and places across the United States, Central America, Europe and Francophone Africa. My print articles have appeared in many major publications and my photography has graced the pages of multiple publications. My first book -- Zen & The Cross Country Skier -- was very well received. I followed that with a photography book "Wild & Wonderful" and most recently the autobiography "Of Presidents and Predators" which covers 50 years of my experiences covering presidents, members of Congress, mayors, the space program and much more. It also has been well received with a review by syndicated columnist Jules Witcover and a cover blurb by my pal singer Linda Ronstadt. I also have written several songs -- the most recently released is "A Slow Moving Train" which now is available online. Happily I also scored a Gold Record for working on the very talented Don Henley's hit song Dirty Laundry. I continue to travel throughout the Western United States in search of wildlife and scenic photos.
