John P. Cater

Twenty years a retired electrical engineer and scientist, John Cater, now an award-winning author, writes about the technology he once researched, created and nurtured into existence. For example, he uses ideas conceived while working with NASA Astronauts at JSC, Houston, designing computers of the future with Admiral Bobby Inman, USN, at MCC, Austin, and creating neural computers from mind models with Dr. Francis Crick, Salk Institute, La Jolla, CA. He also performed considerable research and development for numerous unmentionable Government agencies. If he writes about the aspects of Government secrecy, he knows what he’s writing about. His technical expertise and work has always been on the cutting edge of creating new science. Now he puts that experience into words for your reading pleasure.

He received his BSEE from Texas Tech University, an MBA from Trinity University, and pursued his Ph. D. in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Texas in Austin. His writing always borders the fine line between science and fiction challenging you to choose the difference.
