And He Comes from Where, Exactly?

What a long, strange journey it has been. Eight years in the Army during the Vietnam era to learn the art of the warrior and a political awakening. My learning: you can’t change a culture with force.

Off to the Academy developing the skills of a scholar in the social sciences- psychology, economics, anthropology, and sociology. My learning: Reality is negotiated with others and true wisdom comes from inside.

Off ramp to corporate America pausing at the rest stop of telecommunications and computers. My learning: industrial capitalism doesn't work well in the modern planetary world.

Then off to the backroads of independence mastering being a teacher and a mentor. My learning: being a teacher is my purpose.

And somewhere along this odyssey, I’ve managed to publish over a dozen books about people, organizations, and technology; several dozen technical papers and a series of blogs about how to effect transformations in people and communities.

My Odyssey's capstone has been a personal transformation of authentically being in this world. My gateway to mastering healing arts has been the discipline and practice of Reiki – an ancient Japanese spiritual pathway. Certified Reiki Master/Teacher and Master of Healing Arts

So, humankind finds itself at a fundamental evolutionary change point. We stand at the edge of a chasm of social change greater than what we have seen in agricultural, industrial and technology revolutions.

I stand in service to a greater good, seeking those who want, even need, to make the transition from the Old Story to the New Story. In Sanskrit, it is called “Acharya”. The master awaits the arrival of the student.

What do I do?

It is a calling. A calling to help people awaken to a greater sense of wholeness.

I help people, organizations, and communities define their intention, create inspiration, catalyze inventions, apply those innovations, continuously improve them through iteration, co-create personal and organizational transformations and ultimately Work The Future, Today!

How do I do it?

Through the teaching of structured thinking, scenario design, purpose and the nature of being discovered. This can take the form of personal coaching, guided small groups, and large world café workshops.
