Marilyn Levy

Marilyn Levy, a former English teacher, is a psychologist who works with teenagers in her private practice. "Checkpoints" is Levy's 18th novel for young adults. Several of her novels have won ALA (American Literary Association) Best Book Awards, as well as various other awards. "Run For Your Life," based on a true story of a group of teenagers who live in a housing project in Oakland and who became the top track team on the west coast received the International Librarians Association book award.

She lives in Santa Monica, CA.
