Philip Wik

Philip Wik explores memory, meaning, and the moral imagination through memoir, philosophy, fiction, and history. Across more than thirty books, his work examines how people live, what they believe, and how ideas and traditions shape identity and judgment.

His first book, How To Do Business With the People’s Republic of China, was published by Prentice-Hall and accompanied President Reagan’s staff during the historic 1984 visit to China. He later published two additional titles with Prentice-Hall and continues to write under his own imprint, Blue Kitten Books.

Blending insight, humor, and storytelling, Philip’s books invite readers to explore life’s big questions, uncover forgotten histories, and discover the extraordinary in everyday experiences.

Whether examining ideas, sharing family stories, or imagining new worlds, his writing is driven by curiosity, reflection, and a love of learning.
